Junior Karting at PVIK

Juniors that are 8 and up can race!

At PVIK we have high speed junior karts specifically designed for junior racers ages 8-13, taller than 48” and weighing less than 180 pounds. Our fleet of junior karts are equipped with fully adjustable seats, pedals and steering columns constructed for optimal safety and comfort for junior racers. Junior karts are powered by 4.6 hp engines and are governed to speeds up to 25mph. All skill levels can enjoy the Sodi kids kart.

All racers under 18 years of age must have a legal waiver signed by a parent or legal guardian. Use the links below to fill out the online waivers.

Parents and juniors are allowed to race in the same heat at the same time.  Juniors will ride in a junior kart, while parents will ride in an adult kart. We do not have any two seater karts.

For safety and comfort of our  junior racers ages 8-13, they're booked separately in “junior heats”. Juniors heats and adult heats are normally scheduled separately, however parents and accompanying party members are welcome to drive in junior heats with the kids. This means everyone rides together! Adults will drive adult karts and juniors will drive junior karts.

How to upgrade to adult karts:

Juniors are able to upgrade to an adult kart before 13 years old. Juniors must complete a lap time of 19.999 or below.
All racers ages 8-13 must use a junior kart until he or she qualifies to upgrade.
If a junior appears they may hurt themselves or someone else, they will be moved back into a junior kart until they can show control of the kart.

*All racers under the age of 18 must have a legal waiver signed by a legal guardian*

We had fun for our first time going but there were 2 guy's racing with us for 2 out of our 3 races that were supposedly "regulars." Everytime we raced these 2 "regulars" kept smashing into my husband, my son, and myself. One of the time's they hit me they hit me so hard that it jolted me pretty good and caused a very big bruise. While this was going on the "track official" never said a word to them about what they were doing but as soon as one of us hit them even on accident he made sure to give us the sign and point while pounding on the wood/tires so everyone knew he was doing it. I don't think we will be going back here. It costs a lot of money to be treated the way we were.
